........preparing the Yogurt and Garlic Sauce....plus kacang kuda for a change ??
3 tablespoons lemon juice, 2 tablespoon olive oil, 2 teaspoons ground allspice, 1 tablespoon ground coriander, 3 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander, 1kg boneless chicken thigh fillets, 6 white Lebanese breads and 2 large handfuls of shredded iceberg lettuce.
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, slowly slowly catch the monkey !!... sorry cook the chicken....hahaha ??. ...turn over and over often don't over cook too laaaa !!....must keep the juices in the meat.
Walla,,,,,,,,,,,ready to serve !!Just heat up frying pan or bbq grill to medium-high.
,,,Combine the lemon juice, little bit olives oil, spices, a pinch of salt and coriander in a large bowl...add the chicken and toss to coat.
,,,Cook/fry slowly the chicken for 5 - 10 minutes until cooked.
,,,Shred chicken with very sharp knife !!.
Make up the Yogurt & Garlic Sauce...blend the 6 garlic cloves, 2 - 3 teaspoons of lemon juice plus some salt in a blender or bottle !!.. until smooth. Gradually add the 1/4 cup each of olive & sunflower oils in a thin steady stream until the sauce has thicken, then fold in the yogurt and sumac or some allspice. (for a change, make similar sauce but add some kacang kuda !!)
Prepare the Quick Tabouleh i.e. combine the chopped parsley, tomato and onion.
To assemble, place/toss Lebanese bread on the hot frying pan for 5 - 10 seconds to warm, then spread with the yogurt and garlic sauce. Arrange the tobouleh, luttuce and chicken on the top. Roll up to enclose and cut in half to serve !!!!....Walla.... Lunch is ready within 15 - 20 minutes ??.

ReplyDeleteSaya yaa indeed !!..basic cost rm25 only BUT can serve 8 x plates and they are charging rm45 per plate at the Arab Corner in Seri Maya yoo !!..gila punya profit margin Yeop Ooii.

Island punya costings very high-lah..balik nanti nak increase to rm25, baru kena-kan ??.

Tak lama lagi..nak buka and run Shell Petrol Station in Klang Valley.. hehe tu Bib and Elin punya project-lah, I tolong cuci kereta kot ??. Opening nanti will invite all of you guys O.K. ?..minyak ada discount hahaha!!

ReplyDeleteYou should try these types of food cos. the garlic/olive oil/vege. are pretty healthy yet very simple to make plus taste pretty good too.
Cut your rice as much as possible-lah, switch to bread Yeop !!....and drink lots & lots of WATER.

Mmmmm I like mid-eastern food. Nanti I nak buat and I would add bits of cili padi for extra vrooomph in the dressing. Yummm.

Bukan tak sudi tetapi I have to be with my father, he is very very unwell/sick as you can appreciate from the pic. in my latest blog. Plus other family members that i really have to be with as pre-arranged/agreed cos they have to also leave the city for their home after our family meeting.
One of my sister is also very sick in K.L. am/Bib presently tied up with family matters.
Minta ampun 1001 kali, we just can't make it. BUT next year, next RA birthday ?? boleh invite tak ??...we should be in K.L. again.

,,,One of my good friend is asking me to also manage his liveonboard 36 ft wooden yacht at the island and I will indeed conduct a survey on the vessel on my return soon, so there might be another option for honeymooning on the high sea too ??. hahaha,,, rezeki datang tak di-jumput yaa, was interested to purchase/built one and out of the blues, this offer !!.
,,,Its crewing issue that I have to resolve cos. I had terminated my last batch of seaman/pirate crew for unprofessional conduct.
,,,Might seriously consider having all female crews this time round ??. Interesting option or just looking for trouble... hehehe !!
