Relax Luuuuu,,,,Trengganu lifestyle !

Smile and the whole World will smile back to you !

" kena relax luuuuu !!!!!!,,,,,jangan kerja kuat sangat man."

There are many things on the island that are beyond my control, and I am forcing myself to accept that. Like the gazebo in the pic. its gone now,,,,washed away by the newly formed kapas mini river !. Never fight against mother nature, you will not win ,,,,,,,hahaha.

In fact, I began to realize that, although my crew still can't wake up early, I had a much greater problem. I just couldn't stop trying to control everything around me - including on issues of the heart btw my chef and his latest girlfriend. The guys here on the island, are ever willing to always wait for tomorrow, yet I would want to finish today what is for tomorrow !.

Am task oriented, plus goal setter type A++,,,,on the go every minute of the day !!!. Always in forward gear,,,,,scouting for opportunities, never say die but ever ready for it, everyday is a good day mate !. Never take no as an answer - 'can do always',,,, yaaaaa.

I couldn't leave things alone. I was an urban, technological man accustomed to making things happen. I been taught/trained countless times that you were supposed to make things happen, that anything less implied shameful passivity or just plain laziness.

I have kind of lived almost all my life in cities plus working with multi-nationals, struggling shoulder to shoulder with other struggling people. We were all struggling to make something happen yaaaa,,,,a marriage, a job, a raise, an acceptance, a child, a new car, an apartment, new status, getting the latest ?.

I have indeed survived in that frantic/active lifestyle for more than 35 years, and now beginning to learn how to relax plus lose control on the island. These couple of solid weeks experienced on the island of events over which I had absolutely no control. And never would. (the solid rain/heavy seas/high winds/crazy crews/interesting houseguests/slow boats/friendly fisherman) Events that reminded me that I had my limits - rather severe limits, in the greater scheme of things - and I had no business trying to control as much as I did before in my life, even if I could !.

Note; I had just sold off my house in Miri, Sarawak and have had the Packers to pack my stuffs, when I noticed that am repacking lots and lots of old articles of clothing I owned.
Enough is enough. One way to control myself is to hang on to things for so long. My past is too present in my life - so I threw/donated all the faded/not so new clothings plus odd stuffs away.

It seems a step in the right direction yaaaaaa ?. Frankly, I have collected tons of rubbishs along the way too,,,,,hahaha.

Oooooi,,,,Capt. !!!! """"Relax Luuuuuuuu"""",,,,,,,,dok kena kopi geeeeee mu luuuneeeee !,,,,buat korja sok mooorr ajeeeeer.
adoi,,,,,,kena relax-lah neeeee. ( for me its not easy to just do nothing-lah ), sakit jiwa. Better make myself confortable and enjoy the relaxing lifestyle too and mula jadi orang terengganu yaaa !

Relax Luuuuuuuu !

  4. Beautiful picture Capt., teringat cerita Robinson Crusoe which we had to read way back in primary school - except for the grinning skull and cross-bones! Grinning skull ....... funny-lah.

Capt., if you must work, then you have to work. Otherwise you might go bonkers.

But if you must control, do it subtly lah such that your control-ees don't realise they are being controlled.

Psst.... we long-time wives have got "control" down to an art. Don't ask how cos itu "rahsia alam" hahaha.

  15. Dear Pak Zawi,

The rat race in city living has caught up with me again !....left the lazy easy island living last year for KL city for some an challenging job with Weststar Aviation. Now my good health has deteriorated due to bad air plus stress getting caught in jams. Perhaps I might return back to island living by next year if my body cant take the city lifestyle.
